EXCITING”__ Coby White Puts On Incredible Show As Chicago Bulls Bounce Back with Big Win Over Charlotte Hornets

The Bulls leaned on Coby White down the stretch to repulse the Hornets.

The Chicago Bulls got back on the winning track on Wednesday with a 117-110 win over the Charlotte Hornets to improve their win-loss record to 23-26. It was a terrific bounce-back win for Chicago, which wasted a 16-point lead and lost to the Toronto Raptors at home the previous night.

Coby White continued to raise his stock and profile in the NBA by scoring 35 points—one off his career-high—nine assists and seven rebounds. Playing in his hometown, the former Tar Heel played superb basketball in the fourth, where he sparked the Bulls’ run that eventually nabbed them the victory.

Pulled away in the fourth

The game was tied at 86-all at the start of the fourth, but the Bulls pulled away with a 20-8 blast that gave them a 106-94 lead after back-to-back three-pointers by Ayo Dosunmu and Alex Caruso.

The Hornets kept within striking distance, 107-101, after a bucket by big man Nick Richards, but White kept making one big shot after another to keep the Hornets at bay. The Goldsboro native had 10 points, three rebounds, and three assists in the fourth.

Six players in double-figures

With four rotation players sitting out the game, it was all hands on deck for Chicago, and the Bulls delivered, getting six players to score in double-figures. Dosunmu had 16 points, Nikola Vucevic added 22 points and 12 rebounds, DeMar DeRozan chipped in 15, and Alex Caruso and Andre Drummond had 10 points.

The Bulls shared the ball and almost always found the open man, resulting in 28 assists.
