NBA Trade Rumors: Bulls Consider Big Moves, But Alex Caruso’s Future Is Up in the Air

  • It’s safe to say that NBA guard Alex Caruso has been successful everywhere he’s gone. The 6’5″ Texas native was a fan favorite during his four years with the Los Angeles Lakers and continues to develop with the Chicago Bulls.

With the NBA trade deadline approaching, there is speculation that Caruso could be traded for a Bulls club that has struggled this season.

According to highly recognized NBA source Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bulls are considering releasing one of their starters if the transaction makes sense.

Wojnarowski reportedly stated that the organization is looking for a “OG Anunoby-type deal.”

The New York Knicks have traded J Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and a second-round selection for OG Anunoby. The deal has altered the Knicks franchise, which is now 32-18 and 9-1 in its last ten games.

Caruso inked a four-year, $37 million contract with the Bulls in 2021, making him a free agent at the end of next season.

The Bulls are fighting to stay in playoff contention with a 23-27 record. Another reason Chicago may let go of some of its key players is the season-long absence of standout forward Zach LaVine due to a foot ailment.
