DONE TRADE: Jaguars Finally Hit On Perfect Trade Deal In Signing…………….

Damien Lewis, Graham Glasgow Picked As Best Fits for Jaguars In Free Agency

Before free agency begins in March, the Jacksonville Jaguars will need to conduct some soul-searching along the offensive line.
There is good reason to believe the Jaguars may make significant changes to the offensive line in March after the line failed to protect Trevor Lawrence in the passing game or create movement in the running game.
Given that head coach Doug Pederson stated after the season that injuries were a major factor in the Jaguars’ problems, there’s also a chance the team may try to win it back with the same group.
Ultimately though, Pederson’s departure leaves the Jaguars with a dilemma that needs to be solved. Damien Lewis of the Seattle Seahawks and Graham Glasgow of the Detroit Lions are two interior linemen that, if that answer takes the form of free agency, would make sense, according to PFF.

Lewis, who attended LSU for his collegiate education, has a big impact on the Jaguars’ offensive line when he returns to the Southeast. While we may have greater expectations for Lewis than the general public, he is a skilled run blocker who has made steady progress as a pass protector. Lewis particularly stood out on video in 2023, according to PFF.

“Glasgow would be a great veteran addition for a handful of teams, and here he goes to Jacksonville, where Brandon Scherff may not play much longer and question marks continue about whether Walker Little stays on the inside or perhaps kicks back out to tackle if Cam Robinson ends up a cap casualty,” PFF said.

Lewis, who will be 27 in Week 1, was a third-round pick for the Seahawks in the 2020 NFL Draft and has started and appeared in 63 games since. He spent his rookie year at right guard and even took snaps at center, but has spent the last three years as a left guard.

Glasgow, who will be 32 in Week 1, played mostly right guard in 2023 but also spent time at left guard and center, giving him flexibility entering free agency.
