The ever-smiling Freddy Peralta begins his video with the words, “I never tried to do the things I do.” That’s my opinion of who I am—grinning and joyful. And I enjoy sharing it with my coworkers and other people. I’m content and joyful about how I am.

From there, Peralta contributes to the story of how early he developed a love for baseball, why he believes his parents had the greatest influence on his career, when and why he converted from position player to pitcher, how frequently he cried in the early stages of his minor league career with Seattle, and how Milwaukee has welcomed him and given him a sense of security.
