Breaking: Cowboys Extend NFL’s Longest Division Champion Streak

On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys won the division with a dominating performance over the Washington Commanders.

Prior to Week 18, the team only needed to win this game or see the Philadelphia Eagles lose their season finale to the New York Giants.

The Cowboys started the game slow, getting down 10-7 early, after having their field goal attempt blocked. Fortunately for them, they didn’t allow a single point after this as Dak Prescott connected with his favorite target, CeeDee Lamb for two scores en route to a 38-10 blowout win over a feisty division rival.

The Cowboys could look to end this lengthy streak next season. The team does have some hurdles to maintain the same roster. The biggest would be on the offensive end. Tony Pollard is set to be a free agent and while he hasn’t had an amazing season, he is still a solid piece of this team.

If the Cowboys want to keep morale up, they should pay their star receiver who is in his contract year. CeeDee Lamb is set for a large pay day, finishing the season first in receptions, second in yards and tied for first in touchdowns. The Cowboys need to do everything they can to keep him happy as their failure or success is greatly impacted by Lamb’s performance.
