DETROIT NEWS: Three Match Banned For QB After ………….

Pistons’ Isaiah Stewart banned 3 games; assault charge dismissed

The NBA has banned Detroit Pistons centre Isaiah Stewart for three games for hitting Phoenix Suns centre Drew Eubanks at the arena just before the teams’ game on February 14.

Stewart was detained by Phoenix police after the event, given a ticket, and then freed. According to a document that ESPN was able to get, the Phoenix Municipal Court has dropped the misdemeanor assault allegation against Stewart. The prosecutor’s office submitted the request to dismiss, and it was approved.

According to Eubanks, the fight broke out as he was entering the venue the night before the game. He said that when the two got into a physical altercation, Stewart delivered the hit. Eubanks played that night, scoring six points and grabbing eight rebounds in eighteen minutes, when security interfered.

In Indiana on Thursday night, the Pistons start the second half. Stewart’s ankle strain has kept him out of the game for the past eight games.
