Steelers Newly Signed Star Justin Fields Breaks Silence On Why He Bears And 4 Other Clubs For Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields, who wanted to go there after realising he no longer fit into Chicago’s plans.

Fields had three seasons with the Bears, and he often demonstrated his athletic ability. However, he was not a steady passer or a smart decision maker, and general manager Ryan Poles determined that Fields was not the team’s future quarterback.

The Bears appear to be leaning towards selecting Caleb Williams of USC with the first overall choice. Once the Bears make their decision, Fields will be a distant memory within the organisation.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, several clubs expressed interest in Fields before he was traded to the Steelers.

Fields, on the other hand, refused to play for either of those teams and instead desired to be traded to the Steelers.

There are no official reports at this time on the exact teams that have inquired about Fields, but multiple teams are dissatisfied with their quarterback situations. These teams include the New England Patriots, the New York Giants, and the Las Vegas Raiders. Furthermore, the Eagles traded for Kenny Pickett shortly after the Steelers signed Russell Wilson, thus Philadelphia may have been interested in Fields before to that transaction.
