Texas DT Commits Brandon Brown As He Makes His First Visit To Austin In Completion For The Agreed………

Following the resignation of defensive line coach Bo Davis, the Longhorns must bring Brown on campus to confirm his commitment.
In December, following the Big 12 Championship game triumph and first-ever selection to the College Football Playoffs, the Texas Longhorns received a surprising commitment from Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie defensive tackle Brandon Brown, despite the fact that he had not visited the Forty Acres.

Since then, with defensive line coach Bo Davis departing for LSU, the urgency to get the consensus four-star prospect to school grew, culminating on Friday.

The extent to which the visit confirmed Brown’s pledge remains to be determined; official trips to Tennessee and USC are slated for June, as well as one to Texas. Brown also visited Alabama earlier this month.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Brown is the No. 270 player nationally and the No. 32 defensive lineman, making him a priority target for new defensive line coach Kenny Baker at a need position in the 2025 recruiting class. He is one of five pledges in a class that currently ranks No. 17 nationally, ahead of important spring and summer visits for top prospects.
