A star for the Bears, partners with United Airlines to benefit Special Olympics

Chicago – A Chicago Bears player and United Airlines teamed up to promote Special Olympics.
Cole Kmet, a tight end, spent the whole Wednesday working with the airline’s Special Olympics Service Ambassadors to promote a program that offers the athletes an opportunity to work for United. Chicago: An NFL player for the Chicago Bears teamed up with United Airlines to promote Special Olympics. All day on Wednesday, tight end Cole Kmet assisted in promoting a program that offers Special Olympics participants the opportunity to work for United Airlines by collaborating with the airline’s Service Ambassadors.

Given the hectic nature of the airport, assisting travelers in finding their gate and directing them to security “I like to be nice and loving to all of the people who are traveling with United,” service ambassador Daniel Smrokowsi stated.
With Kmet’s visit, United’s Miles on a Mission program—which allows loyalty members to give their unused flight miles to the Special Olympics—also received attention.This enables sportsmen to receive complimentary flights to events across the globe. “The program’s true objective is to strengthen our bond with Special Olympics. We saw that a few of the athletes have extraordinary talent and could provide United Airlines a really special set of skills,” the airline’s Kristin Lewis stated.The Special Olympics athletes we spoke with claimed that because the public has given them the confidence they need to achieve, it has improved them as athletes.
