So, with that being said, Cablesport has taken a look at some of the biggest Arsenal stories on Friday, February 9.

Arsenal secure European windfall as summer transfer plan hatched after Spain star scouted - football.london

Arsenal is considering Nico Williams’s swoop

Planning for the summer transfer window has already begun for the Gunners. After a quiet winter transfer season, Arteta is reportedly looking to boost his team, and the club has a hit list for transfers.
The Mirror claims that the team’s scouts have been “making checks” on Nico Williams, an Athletic Bilbao winger. To relieve pressure on the England star, Arsenal has been eager to acquire more offensive alternatives and provide a backup plan for Bukayo Saka.
The Mirror also reports that the team has Williams on their shortlist and has long admired Pedro Neto, the winger for Wolves. Williams, though, is also rumored to have been courted by Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Real Madrid.

News says: It will be interesting to watch whether this comes to pass. Williams is a fantastic winger, and I think the Premier League and Arsenal would both benefit from having him. The Spain international, on whom Arsenal has primarily depended, would be a strong backup for Saka.
Kai Havertz expresses Arsenal’s emotions clearly

The Germany international has stated that, despite a challenging time at the Emirates Stadium, he is “happy” and “comfortable” with Arsenal. Havertz has made 22 league appearances thus far and scored four goals.
Although he has drawn criticism from some Arsenal supporters, he said in an interview with Sky Sports that he is still getting acclimated to his new position at the Emirates.

“I used to focus a lot just on the offense, but I knew that defense plays a big part in the game, so I worked on that quite a bit,” he added. It’s nice that I feel quite at ease with the squad now that I’ve become acclimated to all the players and the game style.”
“I think that’s just how it is nowadays – people don’t watch the games, they just see the goals and assists and if no one scores, they had a bad game,” he said in response to some of the criticism. However, this did not lead me to begin playing football.

“It’s the best thing to do to score goals, and I love it, but there are a lot of different things you have to do in the game as well. I want to score goals, I want to assist and that’s the nicest thing you can do, so I just try my best every game for that.”

Cablesport says: It is important for supporters to continue backing Havertz who could, with time, flourish under Arteta.
