DeMar DeRozan Few Words Speech That Led Fans Jubilating Following Dismissal For Hard Foul On Jalen Green

The Chicago Bulls travelled to Texas on Thursday night to face the Houston Rockets. After a back-and-forth start, the Rockets took command, and after leading by double digits in the first half, Houston never looked back. Despite numerous comeback tries, the Bulls fell behind from that point forward.

However, the true tale of this game unfolded in the third quarter. Jalen Green was moving the ball up the court and over a screen when DeMar DeRozan came up to guard him and hip-checked him to the ground. The play followed a Green block on DeRozan. The Bulls star and Dillon Brooks then got into a fight. DeRozan and Brooks were both dismissed for flagrant 2 fouls.

After the game, DeRozan had the opportunity to discuss the play for the first time, however the foul was not his biggest regret. (H/T ESPN)

“Just not being out there and giving us the full chance to go out and win a game, that’s what I’m more frustrated about more than anything,” DeRozan said. “Not being out there with my guys, seeing the outcome could’ve been.”
