DONE DEAL: Raiders Land Three Players to Reserve/Future Contracts

Just over a week after signing 15 players to reserve/future contracts, the Las Vegas Raiders announced on Tuesday that they have signed three more players to said deals.

The club signed guard Ben Brown, safety Tyreque Jones, and running back Tyreik McAllister to reserve/future contracts.

Brown was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2022 before the club waived him that August. Just two days later, he was signed by the Seattle Seahawks.

The 25-year-old played just one game for Seattle in 2023, having played just eight offensive snaps and seven special teams snaps. The Seahawks released Brown in November.

He was signed to the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad on Jan. 1. but was not signed to a reserve/future contract. Brown played four years at the University of Mississippi after redshirting his freshman season.

After moving from guard to center, Brown became known as one of the best centers in the nation. His collegiate career was unfortunately cut short when he tore his biceps midway through his final season.

Jones was another undrafted free agent who was signed by the Tennessee Titans last May.

He was waived as part of August roster cuts and picked up two days later by the New York Jets, who signed him to their practice squad.

New York released Jones in October. Less than a week later, Jones was signed to the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad.

Jones played six years at Boise State University, where he was named an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention for each of his final two collegiate season.

Brown’s draft stock tanked as a result, thus causing him to goundrafted
