INTERSTING”Copenhagen Winger Gives Update On Future As Manchester United Submit Final Bid

Copenhagen youngster Roony Bardghji has been linked with a move to Man United and he’s spoken about his future.

Copenhagen winger Roony Bardghji has admitted he is flattered by transfer reports linking him with a move to a ‘big club’.

Bardghji has developed a reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting talents and he’s been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham. The 18-year-old made an appearance from the bench against United at the Parken Stadium in November and he scored a stunning winning goal to make the game 4-3 to Copenhagen.

That defeat was a huge blow to United’s hopes of qualifying from their Champions League group and they subsequently crashed out of Europe, with Bayern Munich and Copenhagen progressing.

Bardghji will likely remain at Copenhagen beyond the January transfer window and he should get an opportunity to test himself against Manchester United over two legs in the Round of 16 tie.

When asked about the reports of transfer interest, Bardghji told Danish newspaper Tipsbladet: “It is, of course, special, but it’s not stressing me out. I take it as motivation every time I step onto the field. It motivates me to get better.

“It’s a dream [to move to a big club], and it’s nice to hear because it means I’m doing well, but I try not to think too much about it. As I’ve said before, I feel ready, but when the time is right – whether it’s now or later – I don’t know.

“The timing has to be right, but right now, I’m only focusing on getting in top form and playing football. The most important thing for me is the plan for me and my development.

“I need to feel comfortable with the coach, the club, and everything else. That’s the most important thing as a player.”

The youngster has predominantly played on the right wing in his career and United continues to struggle with that position, despite spending £73million on Jadon Sancho and £86M on Antony in the last few windows.

Bardghji is contracted with Copenhagen until 2025.
