This occurred after he received a basic wage boost in 2024 as a result of his offensive playtime exceeding 50% during the regular season. The Chiefs standout Mahomes will now receive a basic pay of £7.79 million next season, up from his contracted £6.8 million, according to an earlier claim by Joel Corry, a CBS Sports reporter and former agent.
The quarterback and the Chiefs renegotiated his deal in September of last year, with an assurance of £166 million between the 2023 and 2026 seasons. This raise was a part of that agreement. According to the agreement reached last year, this figure might increase to £173m by the end of the four-year contract.
After his latest Super Bowl success, Mahomes is eager for more victories, saying following the game: “I mean, I’m gonna celebrate tonight. I’m gonna celebrate at the parade. And then I’m gonna do whatever I can to be back in this game next year and try to go for that three-Peat.
