St. Louis anticipated Superstar finally set to Be Signed By Cardinals To Extension As said by Insider. The St. Louis Cardinals will soon have to make a significant choice.

Star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt of the Cardinals will become a free agency at the end of the 2024 season, and both parties have expressed their desire for the relationship to endure.

Like many of the Cardinals in general, Goldschmidt had a poor year in 2023 after winning the National League Most Valuable Player award in 2022.

“Goldschmidt is slated to become a free agent at the end of this season, but much like (José Altuve) and the (Houston Astros), St. Louis could look to extend the 2022 NL Most Valuable Player to keep him in a Cardinals uniform for the rest of his career,” Feinsand explained. “Goldschmidt’s numbers declined slightly in 2023, so perhaps the Cardinals will wait to see how he plays in 2024 before trying to extend him beyond this year.”
