Worrying News: Miami Heats Released 7Men Injury List Ahead Of Rivals Clash

Seven Miami Heat players are listed as injured before their game against the Detroit Pistons.

Among the seven players on the Miami Heat’s injury report for their Tuesday home game against the Detroit Pistons are Kevin Love, Tyler Herro, and Caleb Martin.

The only player on Miami’s injury report who hasn’t been ruled out is Martin (left thumb sprain). He’s free to suit up for the Heat.

Herro, one of Miami’s top offensive players, has medial tendinitis in his right foot. Josh Richardson, a rotational player, has a dislocated right shoulder, while Love has a right heel bruise. Alondes Williams and Jamal Cain are assigned to the G League. Dru Smith is sidelined in the interim owing to surgery on his right knee.

Herro has missed Miami’s last four games due to injury. In the 2023–24 regular season, Herro is averaging 20.8 points per game, which is the second-highest of any Heat player.

He last played for Miami on February 23, when the club defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 11 points to 6. He finished with 15 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one block.

Compared to Herro, Richardson has missed more time due to injury. He hasn’t played for the Heat since suffering a shoulder injury during Miami’s home loss to the Boston Celtics on February 11. In just over seven minutes of play against the Celtics, the 30-year-old finished with two points and two assists.

The Heat are now suffering with a widespread injury problem, which is regrettable, but the Pistons aren’t particularly strong against the Heat. Detroit, with a 9-51 record, is currently the NBA’s second-worst team, trailing only the 15-game losing Washington Wizards.

Therefore, even though they will be missing a number of effective players, the Heat should have enough talent to defeat the Pistons.

After Tuesday, the Heat’s next regular-season match is scheduled for March 7, when they travel to play the Dallas Mavericks. Despite being a far superior club versus the Pistons at 34-27, the Mavericks had dropped their last two games, against the Philadelphia 76ers on March 3 and the Celtics on March 1.
