‘YES’ – December Player Of The Month Set For Deal As Terms Already Agreed

Man United youngster Hannibal Mejbri has said “yes” to a proposal from Sevilla as he closes in on a loan move, sources have told Football Insider.

The 20-year-old is expected to join the Spanish side on an initial loan move to sign him permanently in the summer.

Mejbri has been unable to break into Erik ten Hag’s plans at Old Trafford and has been given the green light to leave the Manchester club this month.

The Tunisian midfielder has attracted interest from Everton and other clubs over a January loan deal, but Sevilla are set to win the race for him.

He has agreed terms and a deal could be finalized by the end of the weekend.

Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (10 January) that Everton also submitted a loan offer for Mejbri but Sevilla is in pole position to complete a deal.

Mejbri has made 11 appearances for the Red Devils this season but has started just four matches across all competitions.

His only goal this season came back in September during United’s 3-1 loss to Brighton at Old Trafford.

Mejbri spent last season on loan at Championship side Birmingham City where he became a key player under former manager John Eustace.

The United loanee made 41 appearances for the Blues and scored once – although his one goal for the club against West Brom ended up winning their Goal of the Season award for 2022-23.

Offloading Mejbri will help United’s Financial Fair Play complications, with an academy sale representing pure profit on the club’s accounts.
